How to be stand out from the crowd
There are so many ways to stand out especially in this social media age. But the caveat is: as soon as you stand out, some else stands out too and then there’s really no big deal about standing out.People notice you when you pay attention to the things that are important to them. Take for example in a crowd that is hungry, you can get them food either by working with others, or finding a way to get a good truck to the place they are. So you can stand out by being a solution provider to problems.
Standing out also means that you make hard choices, make unpopular decisions and do not really care about standing out. What do they say: when you’re not looking for something is when you find it. Here, you can stand out by being the iconoclast: present enough in yourself that you don’t need approval to do anything
You can also stand out by supporting the people who have stood out. I’m a big fan of number two men,it takes a level of strength to choose not to be in the spotlight, instead to make other people shine brighter. The kingmakers. People like the recognition and attention, and pay attention to the people who have it, but those people they have people oiling the wheels- most times those people in the background end up as unsung heroes, but thankful for knowledge, you can be the best supporter a leader has ever had, and leverage on technology to make yourself visible.
Sometimes, your character and actions speak louder than words. You stand out from the crowd when you do not care about being labelled as different, when you are comfortable in your own skin and character, when you embrace your differences. And it is often those who do not care about impressing others and conforming to the standards of others that stand out the most strongly.
I have found some of the most compelling and interesting personalities to be relatively quiet. These people are insightful and complex. You may not notice them at first glance, but once you get to know them a little better, you will find them so interesting. They leave the strongest impression.
