9.Upon release, the film received wide critical acclaim, especially for its direction, cinematography, and songs. 10.Following the success of her debut movie, Madonna made her debut in the Tamil film industry with Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. The film which was the official remake of the Korean film My Dear Desperado received mostly positive reviews and grossed more than seven crore INR in the opening weekend itself.
